Senior Integration Support Engineer
Job Description:
The Vendavo Application suite is a sophisticated, extensible J2EE/web-based enterprise application that supports the entire Pricing Management life cycle. We are looking for a very strong, seasoned & enthusiastic engineer to add to a stellar services team.
In this position you will architect, design, develop and unit-test integration capabilities in the various implementation projects we do in the emerging area of Price Management. Utilize your software development skills to deliver mission-critical integration capabilities and work on new methodology, best practices, etc. The job involves learning the extensive set of Integration capabilities available in our software product and putting this to effective use in the field. You will be in charge of and manage the integration services team within Vendavo’s PS organization.
As part of this job, you will also work with the Engineering team to learn, prepare training material and suggest new capabilities and features related to our advanced Integration framework that connects the Vendavo application to other applications in an Enterprise. The work involves working with various systems including SAP and Oracle. The Vendavo application is written in Java and uses technologies like SOAP, HTTP, HTML, XML, etc. As part of this job, you will exposed to and work with sophisticated customers adopting leading edge technology.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a good blend of skills in both infrastructure and application areas. You should get a charge out of building high value integration functionality quickly. You should be able to drive process and infrastructural improvements and requirements methodology along the way. The candidate will preferably have prior experience working with integration to and from SAP SD and/or CRM modules.
- 5+ years of experience in integration using a complex, commercial, enterprise class product
- Experience in using WebLogic, Websphere or other application servers with NT and Solaris/Linux experience is desirable
- At least one significant stint in a mature profession services organization is required. Experience in a fast paced startup environment with short, quick implementation cycles is very desirable. Prior experience working with integration with one or more Enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, etc.
- Experience in Internet technologies – SOAP, HTTP, HTML, XML, web server,
server-side Java and Database programming (SQL) experience
- Experience with one or more of the following is a strong plus: SAP interfacing (Business Connector/XI, ABAP, Java Connector, BAPIs/RFCs), Microsoft DTS, Oracle SQL Loader, XSLT
- Functional knowledge of SAP ERP, in particular the SD module and IDOCS is required
- Demonstrated large scale project implementation expertise
- Excellent technical, problem solving, and communications skills
- Must be a great team player and a highly motivated self-starter
- Willing to support internal and external customers and willing to travel up to 25-50%
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
