Technical Support Engineer
The Vendavo Application suite is a sophisticated, extensible J2EE/web-based enterprise application that supports the entire Pricing Management life cycle. We are looking for a very strong, technical & enthusiastic Developer/API Support Engineer to add to a stellar services team. As a member of the services team, you will be responsible for supporting external and internal customers (System analyst, I.T. and developers) on the Vendavo suite of Price Management applications. As part of this job, you will exposed to and work with sophisticated customers adopting leading edge technology.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have a BS degree in computer science or other technical area.
- 2+ years Java/J2EE or object-oriented (e.g. C++) programming experience. GNU Ant build tool experience preferred
- Proficient in SQL and XML. Basic understanding ANSI SQL language (Select statement, join tables, create a view) expected. SQL programming preferred
- Experience with deploying applications and administrating using BEA WebLogic Server (WebSphere or Netweaver or JBOSS experience a plus)
- Working experience with both Windows and UNIX environments (Solaris or AIX admin experience a plus)
- 2 years experience providing technical first-line support for API/developer and platform applications
- 2 years experience doing performance troubleshooting and 1 year experience running/analyzing Load Runner scripts
- Willingness to travel up to a maximum of 25% as needed
Preferred experience:
- Hands on Oracle 9i and 10g experience. Knowledge of back-end databases preferred (Sqlplus, Toad experience a plus)
- Eclipse or similar java IDE tools experience
- Understanding Javascript/HTML
- Networking experience (understand PC/Unix networking configuration, netowrking trouble-shooting shareware)
- Performance Tuning
