Senior QA Engineer
The Senior QA Engineer should possess strong testing skills, experience with testing enterprise-class software packages, basic programming skill, and working familiarity with J2EE based application. The tasks include designing test strategies and test plans, execution of the test plans, designing and automating structural test cases, performing design and code reviews, and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA processes, test plans and test cases, tools and infrastructure to improve quality and efficiency of testing
- Perform all aspects of verification, including feature testing, functional testing, unit testing, regression, load and performance testing, structural testing or white box testing
- Perform code reviews and design reviews
- Work effectively with a geographically distributed team
Job Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or comparable field
- 4+ years QA experience with enterprise-class J2EE based applications
- Experience in test case design and test automation
- Working familiarity with white box or structural testing
- Detailed understanding of J2EE architecture
- Knowledge of Java, XML, SQL, Java servlets, and shell scripting in Windows and Unix environments
- Experience with deploying to at least one of these application servers: WebLogic, Netweaver, JBoss, or Websphere
- Experience in working with Oracle RDBMS
- Experience in working with test tools such as JUnit, WinRunner/QTP, LoadRunner
- Experience with Windows and Unix (Solaris and AIX) systems
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Preferred requirements:
- Experience in designing and developing automated test cases
- Good understanding of enterprise server scalability, performance and stress testing, and security
- Familiarity with source code control tools (CVS)
