Business Consultant
Our rapidly growing price management software startup is looking for individuals with business consulting, industry, and/or pricing domain expertise. Business Consultants present Vendavo’s value proposition, analyze client needs, demonstrate our solution capabilities, develop a tailored client value proposition, advise on pricing opportunities, and ensure client value is realized. This position is tightly integrated with our pre-sales and post-sales consulting teams, and provides exposure to many different projects and customers across industries. Location is flexible, can be home-office based and located anywhere in the USA.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate customer business requirements and needs
- Communicate and demonstrate client-specific value proposition
- Influence and respond to requests for proposals
- Develop selling proposition and sales presentation content
- Perform opportunity assessments
- Perform business case analysis for implementation phase
- Analyze post go-live benefits and fulfillment of value proposition
- Develop price management best practices and domain expertise
- Collaborate with marketing on product roadmap and customer requirements
This is a full-time, permanent position
Qualifications
- 5+ years prior experience in Technical Sales, Consulting or a Pricing function
- Proven sales skills and customer interaction experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong presentation and content development skills
- Ability to think on your feet, develop and communicate insight
- Self-starter; ability to excel in a dynamic environment
Experience
- Background in engineering, science, math, statistics, or software
- Industry experience in B2B environment, particularly with pricing
- MBA or Operations Research degree highly desirable
- Prior experience in technical sales or sales engineer role a plus
- Optimization and statistical data analysis experience a plus
